Aleks Grilz is a painter raised in the Blue Mountains and currently based in Melbourne. A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, his practice spans large-scale murals and smaller-scale studio works. Aleks' energetic and dynamic style incorporates various paint applications, including aerosol, brushwork, and a mini roller on an extension pole. The world-building in his paintings draws inspiration from diverse realms—physical digital, and the experiences gained through his travels. Through a satirical lens, Aleks examines the trajectory of human existence, questioning how we have arrived at this point as a species.
